Approach to Vocal Coaching

Industry Standard

Music, and in particular song can have a powerful and dramatic influence on us. The voice is such a unique and personal instrument, which can express all our emotions, and connects us in a way that transcends language. When it comes to vocal coaching, it is important that singers are free to experiment and explore their potential in a forgiving, positive and supportive safe space, where they can develop their skills and get to know their voices. Singers have a never-ending, evolving relationship with their voice, and having a great foundation will provide them with a toolkit to help deal with singing at all levels.

Above all, working with a vocal coach must be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. When you're a good fit together, the self-confidence that comes with it is not confined to the music session, it can be applied to all aspects of life. A feel-good factor you can share with friends, family, fellow singers and audiences!

The transition from singing for fun to performing professionally of course requires vocal ability, but it also requires hard work in developing your craft and artistry with dedication. Your vocal health is paramount and it is equally important that you understand and learn how to use your voice safely to sustain performance.
